The first Samsung phone using Bada OS name has become known – it is Samsung Wave as shown at the advertisement banner at Mobile World Congress, Barcelona.
According to the news site Daily Motion, the Samsung Wave should include a 3.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, along with a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, flash and 720p video capabilities, a 1GHz processor inside, 2GB of internal memory, HSDPA and WI-FI b/g/n connectivity options, a 3.5 mm jack, and Samsung’s Touchwiz 3.0 UI on top of the bada OS.

Samsung has put up teasers on the web asking users to guess about their new phone. Similar to CommunicAsia held in Singapore last year. The Samsung Unpack site has not put up too much information about the upcoming phone. From the pictures, it can be easily guess that it has something to do with Ocean (which is bada in Korean) as there were pictures indicating the sea shore and a ship navigating through the sea.
In addition, there is also speculations that Samsung will showcase a new Omnia phone with Windows Mobile 7. So far, there are no indications that they will showcase any new Android phones at MWC 2010 but we might be wrong. No one knows exactly what Samsung will launch till 14 Feb 2010.

The first device based on the Bada OS would be the Bada S8200 which is set to sport a 3.7 AMOLED screen. It will also be powered by the now popular Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that powers the likes of the Nexus One and the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10. Apart from the S8200, Samsung is also readying its Android based device, the Galaxy2. Both the handsets will also feature HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, and 5MP autofocus cameras.
The Bada based S8200 will be priced at around $575 and Samsung Galaxy2, this will be a bit more expensive at $645
