The long waited Snapdragon 845 by Xiaomi sub brand POCO will go on sale on 30 Aug 2018 at the price of S$449 at authorised Mi Stores, Lazada etc. To our disappointment, the 128 GB is not offered to the Singapore Mi Fans. Details of the phone can be read from here.

Across the causeway in Malaysia, the pricing is more attractive and they have two options, the 6GB + 64GB or 6GB + 128GB. The price is RM1237 and RM1428 respectively.
If we use an exchange rate of SGD 1 : RM 3, it translates to SGD 412 and SGD 476.
Early review of the POCOPHONE is out and night shots were disappointing. Although it is based on the Sony’s IMX363 sensor, 12 MP + large 1.4µm pixels and dual pixel phase detection autofocus. The f/1.9 did not come with optical stabilisation.
The low-light shots turned out a bit disappointing – you either get soft or sharp noisy pictures depending on whether you have HDR turned on or off.
It looks like if you are for night shots, the Mi A2 (uses Sony IMX 376) might be a better option but it comes with a lower end snapdragon 660 processor.
