We tested the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X at 3.6GHz using Cinebench R15 and confirmed that the performance of the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X is comparable if not better than expensive Intel counterparts.
The 8C/16T processor is churn out a result of 1624 cb which far surpasses that of the Intel including Intel Xeon X5650 with 12C/24T. The Core i7 6900K scored 1578 in the CPU test.
As for single thread, it scored 154cb. which is pretty fast.

In this test, the benchmark measures the image/photo processing (common algorithms) performance of processors.
AMD Ryzen 7 1800X final score 218 MPixel/s after individual runs of the following AVX2 tests
Blur: Convolution (3×3) Filter
Sharpen: Convolution (5×5) Filter
Motion Blur: Convolution (7×7) Filter
Edge Detection: Sobel (2*5×5) Filter
Noise Reduction: Median (5×5) Filter
The result is on par with a Core i7-5820K @ 3.3GHz scoring 201 MPixel/s and slightly faster than a Core i7 6700K clocked at 4GHz.
In terms of performance, the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X has a better price point compared to the Intel counterpart.
The AMD Ryzen 7 1800X sells for USD 499 on Amazon while
a Intel Core i7 6900k sell for USD 1022
a Intel Core I 6850K sells for USD 580
