Yes this feature which was first announced on Samsung S24 is now available on the Pixel 8 Pro.
Pixel 8 users will need to update the apps as it could be updated via Google lens.
This useful feature can be activated by pressing the long bar at the bottom of the screen. Circle any object on the screen and it will conduct a search and return the results.
The way it works is very similar to Google lens , it is just that it is able to search for anything on your current screen, including videos that you are watching on YouTube or still pictures from web browser.
