LG Electronics Singapore launched an impressive line up of Ultra HD 4K TVs (49 to 84 inches), Curved OLED and Cinema 3D Smart TVsyesterday at the Bacchanalia.

The new premium ULTRA HD (4K) TV model (UB980T) boasts the deep, rich audio of the ULTRA Surround sound system, developed in collaboration with high-end audio products maker Harman Kardon. A forward-facing, multi-channel speaker configuration that reproduces sound with astounding clarity and precision, ULTRA Surround significantly increases the viewer’s sense of immersion.

The 2014 LG ULTRA HD (4K) TV lineup, including the 84UB980T, 79UB980T will
be available at stores in June while 55UB850T, 49UB850T are now available in LG authorized retailers.

What makes LG different is that the Smart TV are now powered by webOS purchased from HP in march last year. With the easy to use user interface (see video), it makes navigation easier with the remote control which you can point, click and give voice commands.

With animated character BeanBird, it walks you through the steps to the setup process. webOS also recognises what sort of external device that has been plugged into the TV.

With the left to right scrollable menu (see video), it is easier to choose the source of video or app to run. Apps runs in the background once you switch the task, say watching the TV while playing back youtube previously. You can also auto convert 2D to 3D and stream videos from your Android mobile phone to the TV.

The LB750T 60″ and 55″ are priced at S$4199 and S$3299 while the LB670T 55″ is at S$2999 and 47″ is at S$1899.

LB656T 70″/60″/55″/47″/42″ are priced at S$6499, S$2999,S$2599, $S$1499 and S$1099 while the 47″ LB631T is at S$1399.
