Using SiSoft Sandra, we test the memory, arithmetic, multimedia and transcoding power of the APU.
From the memory benchmarks, it can be easily seen that the performance improved on the newer chipset. This could be due to the older chipset running at DDR3-2133 and the newer A88X board running at DDR3-2400. Anyway, the A88X has better compatibility with DDR3-2400 than it’s predecessor.
We managed to overclocked both processors to 4.4GHz.
From Arithmetic, the A10-7850K outperform the older A10-5800K by almost 20%.
As for the APU’s multimedia capability, the media transcoding is slightly better at 3MB/s.
