The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is here, and its star feature is the new 100x Pro Res Zoom. Instead of relying only on hardware, Google uses AI powered by the Tensor G5 chip to sharpen zoomed-in shots. The result feels almost like sci-fi details that look blurry at first are suddenly enhanced and clear. That said, it’s not perfect.

The 100x zoom works best for landscapes and buildings, but can struggle with small details like text or with people, where Google limits AI corrections to avoid unnatural results.

In many cases, the more reliable 20x Super Res Zoom is still the safer bet. Some photography purists argue this isn t real photography since AI fills in details, but for most users, the results are stunning. The 100x Pro Res Zoom isn’t about perfect optics it s about showing the power of computational photography. If you care more about convenience and wow-factor shots than strict realism, this feature is a real game-changer.
