Apple iPhone 5 goes on retail yesterday. As LTE or 4G is the latest enhancement to the iPhone, we found some test results posted by consumers.
Below is a screen shot of Singtel phone user testing the LTE speed test at Kovan. It achieves 11Mbps for downlink and 27.11Mbps uplink.
Judging from the speed registered, it is still quite far away from the theoretical speed of LTE of 75Mbps. Is this because of the single band support of 1800MHz. Will other phones running dual band 1800/2600 be able to get better results. Do send in your results and indicate the phone used, location, time and telco used to do the test.
