It appears that Malaysia Immigration is expediting the entry process by bypassing the queue and registration for MDAC for first-time visitors, utilizing the eGate system. Previously, first timer using the MDAC system needs to queue and register to use the eGate system. They can only use the eGate on the return trip. Whether this is a temporary adjustment or a permanent change remains uncertain.
A check on the Malaysian immigration website shows that all eligible visitors still need to register within 3 days before arrival.
