It’s confirmed that the stations and the tunnel are equipped with 5G NSA signal running on b40 2 CA and n1 band coverage. If you are travelling along the Thomson East Coast line, you will experience better speed and lower latency. The rest of the TEL 1,2,3 only has Band 40 2 CA.
According to contributor, the whole stretch of Thomson east coast Line has Band 40 coverage. Avg speed is around 80 to 150 Mbps in the afternoon.
TEL 4 has 5G NSA coverage average speed 130 to 170 Mbps. In any case, 5G is more meaningful in lower latency but to let everyone have better share of the bandwidth, a 50 MHz block is probably the minimum allocation to boost network speed. SIMBA 5G speed is low is because it managed to acquire only 10 MHz of n1 band whereas the 3 telcos has a whole n78 block of 100 MHz for themselves to deploy.
It would be good that IMDA start another bidding exercise of n79 or n77 band and that should offer the new comer a better chance to match the 3 in speed.
