SiSoft Sandra 2012 Disk Benchmark
It is very easy to mount the SSD onto the Seagate GoFlex Thunderbolt adapter. As the adapter was designed for Seagate, other brands of SSDs or HDDs will leave a small gap in between. That won’t affect the performance.
The other end of the Apple Thunderbolt cable plugs snugly at the port on the backplane of the motherboard.
In the first picture, we will show the benchmarks of running the SSD through the USB 3.0 docking station. That will be followed by using Thunderbolt as the connectivity solution.
Using SiSoft Sandra Disk Read Benchmark, the Kingston SNV425/64GB gives a drive score of 197.57MB/s. Using Thunderbolt, it gets a boost to 247.3MB/s. There is a 25% improvement in speed for sequential read test.
