Today, TPG officially launches it’s SIM ONLY plan after 1 year 2 months of free trial. Currently, TPG has 400,000 subscribers for free trial launched in Dec 2018.

The new commercial plan will be available from 31 March 2020 from 12 pm on tpgmobile.sg website. Existing trial users can convert to the new plan.

In addition, a similar prepaid plan will be launched in the 2nd Quarter of 2020.

SIM ONLY plan

50 GB for S$10, It will come with 300 mins, 30 SMS, Free caller ID, incoming calls and SMS, free 1 GB roaming to selected countries from May 2020.

Competitive additional charges :

$1 per additional GB
$0.01 per 30 seconds of additional call time
$0.05 per additional SMS

Registration and collection

Customers can register for the TPG 50GB SIM Only plan on TPG’s website here: https://www.tpgmobile.sg/. Upon successful registration, they can immediately visit any of TPG’s designated collection centres to collect their SIM card.

With today’s commercial launch, new subscriptions to the free service trial will end immediately but users who are still in the free trial period will continue to enjoy the free service until their plans expire. 

We queried TPG about the number of lines one can subscribe. TPG’s answer is that there is no limit per customer.

Regarding the road tunnel and rail tunnel coverage, TPG replied that they are on track on progressing well and will meet IMDA requirements by DEC 2021.

Just like what we have guessed earlier, the plan has the exact data bundle and minutes but it is now launched as a postpaid plan instead.

TPG is launching this service for consumers and a prepaid plan later. In the future, services for corporate and SME in the future.

To date, TPG SG only has most of the outdoor covered. It also has KPE tunnel , Thomson East MRT – 3 Woodland Stations covered. It still hasn’t resolve the issue of making calls to ported 6 series fixed line numbers.
