AMD revealed that the new 24-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X and 32-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X – the world’s most powerful desktop processors – will all be available for sale beginning on Monday, November 25.

Additionally, AMD announced the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 16-core processor will be on-shelf beginning Monday, November 25 and the new AMD Athlon 3000G will be on shelf starting Tuesday, November 19.

3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper Processors: Built on the industry-leading 7nm “Zen 2” core architecture, two new Ryzen Threadripper processors feature 88 PCIe 4.0 lanes with extraordinary power efficiency. Notably, the new 32-core Ryzen Threadripper 3970X offers up to 90% faster performance over the competition.


AMD Ryzen 9 3950X: Announced at E3 2019, the fastest 16-core consumer desktop processor available offers a 22% performance increase over previous generations, delivering gaming and content creation performance that exceeds the competition.


AMD Athlon 3000G: As the only unlocked processor in its segment, the AMD Athlon 3000G provides improved gaming and productivity performance, resulting in reliable and versatile computing experiences for a wide variety of consumers.

AGESA 1004: AMD has released AGESA version 1004 to manufacturers this month. With more than 150 changes, this is a significant milestone release in the development of the AM4 platform.


Introducing Socket sTRX4: The 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors will leverage a new socket called sTRX4, which offers superior bandwidth compared to previous generations and the competition.
