AMD announced the global availability of two additional models of the 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors: the Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX with 24 cores and 48 threads and 2920X processor with 12 cores and 24 threads.

This came right after the 2990WX (review) was introduced 2 months ago.

Designed for those who demand the highest performance, the Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX meets the demands of creators and innovators with intense workloads, and in turn, the Ryzen Threadripper 2920X delivers astounding processing power for enthusiasts and gamers.

The 2920X will be priced at $649 and the 2970WX at $1299. Pricing are in USD.

AMD Dynamic Local Mode

Along with these impressive processors, AMD made the notable introduction of AMD Dynamic Local Mode (DLM) software for the Ryzen Threadripper WX Series processors, optimizing application performance by ensuring the most demanding threads always get preferential time on cores with local memory.
