After weeks of beta from 1 to 2 to 3, Android 11 has finally exited beta is available for update on Pixel 3 and 4 devices.
Android will begin rolling out on select Pixel, OnePlus, Xiaomi, OPPO and realme phones, with more partners launching and upgrading devices over the coming months.
Here are just some of the highlights of Android 11:
- Manage conversations – users may now see, respond to and control conversations across multiple messaging apps at the same spot, removing the need to toggle between different messaging apps.
- Bubbles – users can now pin conversations so that they always appear on top of other apps and screens, allowing users to access their chats anytime and keep the conversation going while multitasking
- Built in screen recording – Screen record built into Android 11 allows users to capture what is happening on their screen
- Control all connected devices from one place – users may now control their Smart Homes from a single spot on their phone. In addition, they can also quickly change the device that music or videos are playing from – from headphones to speaker, or phone to TV, with just a few quick taps.
Here are some interesting things you can do with Android 11. I particularly like the video recording feature which is long overdue.
