According to a rumour published by Bright Side of News (BSN), Apple maybe have opted for other solutions and declined to use Intel’s forthcoming Calpella mobile platform and Arrandale processor in their upcoming notebooks.

The reason is because the Arrandale, the notebook version of Clarkdale comes with a built in graphics core within. It is rumoured that Intel might need to have a modified 32nm Arrandale without the graphics core in order to receive orders for Cupertino’s 2010 Mac refreshes.

On whether why Apple prefer a processor without graphics core remains a mystery. Could NVIDIA ION2 be the graphics chipset of choice Apple is going after to pair with the 32nm Arrandale ? It remains a big question mark.
