ASUS and Google to launch 2nd generation Nexus 7 will launch by end of July or early August

According to a report on digitimes, ASUS and Google will launch the 2nd generation of Nexus 7 soon. The new Nexus 7 features a 7 inch 1980 x 1200 display and is powered by a QUalcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. It has a 5 megapixel rear and a 1.2 megapixel front facing camera. It is expected to be priced in the range of USD 199~249 for WiFi support model.
The old model sold 6 million units and ASUS is hoping to reach 8 million. It might be a difficult uphill task as HP slate 7 at USD 169. Acer, Lenovo also has similar products. It will be a cut throat business for the various players the 7″ tablet business.
