Today, xiaomi announced it’s latest photo centric phone, the xiaomi 13 Ultra. Previously, we reviewed both the Xiaomi 12S Ultra and Xiaomi 13 Pro, we find that there are quite a number of similarities between the 3 devices. In fact, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is more like an upgraded version of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra with a better processor and newer sensors. It looks like the Xiaomi 13 Pro with an external leather body of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. The xiaomi 12S Ultra was powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 while the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Ultra are both powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a slightly larger battery capacity (5000 mAh) compared to the Xiaomi 13 Pro (4820 mAh). The Xiaomi 13 Pro supports faster wired charging at 120W compared to the Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s 90W wired charging. Both devices support 50W wireless charging.

In terms of camera, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a quad-camera setup while the Xiaomi 13 Pro has a triple-camera setup. Both devices have a main camera of 50 MP with OIS, Laser and PDAF. The second camera on the Xiaomi 13 Pro is a 50 MP telephoto camera while on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra it is a 50 MP ultra-wide camera. The third camera on both devices is a 50 MP ultra-wide camera

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone is equipped with a powerful combination of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, LPDDR5X, and UFS 4.0, which enables optimal performance. It features a 5000 mAh battery that delivers up to 1.34 days of usage and utilizes lopop liquid cool technology to regulate processor temperature.

The device boasts a 6.73″ WQHD+ LPTO display with a 120Hz refresh rate, providing a seamless viewing experience. It is available in two classic colors, Olive Green and Black, and features a sleek design crafted with nano tech material and a unibody metal frame, along with IP68 water and dust resistance.

In terms of connectivity, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra offers Dual 5GHz WiFi, NFC, IR, BT 5.3, and USB 3.2 Gen 1 support, allowing for fast and reliable connections. The device supports USB 3.2, which provides a maximum transfer speed of up to 5Gbps.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s camera system comprises four Leica optics-based lenses, including a 1″ IMX 989 sensor with a 23mm f/1.9 aperture, an ultrawide lens with a 12mm f/1.8 aperture, a telephoto lens with a 75mm f/1.8 aperture, and a super telephoto lens with a 120mm f/3.0 aperture. This camera system allows for crisp and clear photography at various focal lengths, ranging from 0.5x (12mm) to 10x (240mm), including an ultra night mode for capturing impressive night shots.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra provides Leica custom photographic styles and 14-bit Ultra RAW support, enabling users to maximize their creative freedom in photography.

Paired with 4 cameras in the rear, a 50 MP IMX 989 and 3 others 50 MP using IMX 858. The quad camera covers from 12 mm to 240mm from f/1.8 to f/3.0 for 0.5x to 10X telephoto.
