Other than HTC and Acer, Gigabyte also wants a pie of the Android handset market. According to news from teleconnieuws, it is said that Gigabyte is preparing a new handset under the GSmart range.

The device has a a 2.8″ QVGA Screen, 2 megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS, 3.5″ audio jack, Bluetooth. The processor is a ESM7225 Qualcomm 528MHz and has 256MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM. The new phone has not been named but it will run on Android 1.6 Donut. It has a dimension of 103x54x13.4mm. The device comes with a trackball for easy navigation between the menus.

The product will first be announced in February in Russia and it would price not more than 250 Euros.
