The Pixel 8 Pro smartphone has recently made its debut on the IMDA certification platform, bearing the model number GC3VE. This device has been officially listed as supporting network connectivity across 3G, 4G, and 5G spectrums, in addition to offering Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, UWB (Ultra-Wideband), NFC (Near Field Communication), and WPT (Wireless Power Transfer) capabilities. Another model which has similar specs doesn’t come with ultra wide band support.
Previously, five models of the Pixel 8 series have been spotted on the FCC certification platform with model numbers – GKWS6, G9BQD, GPJ41, GZPF0, and G1MNW.
GKWS6, G9BQD, GPJ41, and GZPF0 are the model numbers of Pixel 8 smartphones and the FCC listing doesn’t reveal the models to support UWB. However, the GZPF0 model is revealed to have mmWave 5G network support.
Google Pixel 8 Pro’s IMDA Certification
Notably, the Pixel 8 Pro received certification from the REL certification authority of Canada just a few days ago, and prior to that, it had also obtained FCC certification. Furthermore, images of the smartphone and a 360-degree preview were inadvertently disclosed on Google’s website in recent days.
The highly anticipated launch of the Pixel 8 Pro smartphone is officially scheduled for the 4th of October 2023, which is just around the corner. This launch event will also introduce the Pixel 8 smartphone, the Watch 2, and new color variants of the Pixel Buds Pro.
Regarding its specifications, the Pixel 8 Pro is anticipated to be equipped with Google’s latest Tensor G3 chipset. The device is likely to feature an LTPO OLED display panel, boasting a generous 6.7-inch screen size and an impressive QHD+ screen resolution.
In terms of photography capabilities, the rear of the device is expected to house a formidable triple camera setup, comprising a 50MP OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) primary camera, a 64MP ultrawide camera, and a 48MP telephoto camera. For selfies and video calls, an 11MP front-facing camera is anticipated.
As for battery performance, the Pixel 8 Pro is poised to offer substantial endurance with a robust 4,950 mAh battery. Additionally, it will support 27W fast charging and include wireless charging capabilities.
