We received the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and observed that the 5060 mAh seems to be quite good in terms of battery life.

After charging the phone to 100% yesterday, I briefly used it to Google locations for a night shoot. I spent some time browsing Facebook posts and comments and watched a bit of YouTube during a 30-minute trip. Later, I took it out for photos and videos at the Singapore Night Festival 2024 in Bugis, including Chijmes and St. Joseph Church.

I recorded 4K/30 video and took photos without experiencing any heat issues. Continuous 4K/30 recording was smooth for multiple clips, with the longest clip lasting 10 minutes.

On the way home, I shared some photos on Facebook. By this afternoon, the battery was still at a healthy level of about 50%. I then did some simple video editing on the Pixel 9 Pro XL using CapCut, merging clips and adding titles, with the final output in 4K/30. The edited video was then uploaded to YouTube.

I ran several speed tests using 4G and Wi-Fi 7 and checked the Photos app, Instagram, and FB Messenger over a few hours. By around 10:34 PM, the battery had drained to 1%.

In total, the phone lasted over 1.5 days with a screen-on time of 5 hours and 37 minutes. This performance is impressive given the heavy use during 4K video recording and encoding.
