HP Unveils New Range of Mini Notebooks that are Big in
Style and Functionality
SINGAPORE, Jan. 6, 2010 – HP today expanded its award-winning portfolio of
companion PCs with the launch of two new Mini notebooks.
With thin, striking designs, the new models are engineered to provide an
unsurpassed customer experience:
— Available in the HP Mini’s broadest range of color and design options to date,
the affordable HP Mini 210 provides all-day computing, optional high-
definition (HD) video playback, mobile broadband connectivity, and is global
positioning system-capable (GPS)(1,2).
— The HP Mini 5102, HP’s first touch-enabled mini notebook, is designed for
mobile professionals. It features an all-metal case in black, red or blue and
offers a range of features, including face recognition for easy log-on to
Windows® operating systems and password-protected websites.
HP Mini 210 – Not just pretty, but pretty powerful
Starting at 1.22 kilos (with HDD)(3) and measuring less than 1-inch thin, the HP Mini
210 is available in a colorful choice of stylish Black Crystal, Silver Crystal, Pacific
Blue or Sonoma Red HP Imprint finishes.
With a 10.1-inch diagonal standard or optional BrightView Infinity HD LED
widescreen display and an island-style keyboard that is 93 percent of a full-size
QWERTY keyboard, the new HP Mini 210 is designed for those who surf the web,
check email, listen to music and need access to people or information while on the
go. The companion PC also features a built-in WLAN, webcam and microphone(1).

optional 3G broadband connectivity and GPS-ready system.

HP Mini 5102 – Built for the mobile business executive
The HP Mini 5102 is a full-performance mini notebook designed for mobile
professionals. Available in either a standard or touch-enabled version and with a
starting weight of 1.2 kilos, the HP Mini 5102 features a sturdy, lightweight
anodized-aluminum display enclosure with a choice of black, red or blue brushed
finishes. It also features an optional handle, which makes it easy to carry.
The touchscreen option allows users to get work done more intuitively and quickly
based on their choice of input methods. Multitouch gestures, finger taps and swipes
across the screen allow users to navigate through applications and menus(11) as well
as provide access to information and websites.(12)
The keyboard of the Mini 5102 produces a great typing experience for email,
instant messaging and other text-driven applications. The 95 percent of full-size
QWERTY keyboard, plus a touchpad, compares favorably to smaller keyboards of
competing companion PCs.
Logging on to Windows and other websites is fast and easy with HP Face
Recognition for Protect tools. Users simply face the 2-megapixel webcam of the HP
Mini 5102 to log in.
The HP Mini 5102 also features the latest Intel Atom N450 processor,(10) multiple
connectivity options including mobile broadband,(8,13) and a large 10.1-inch
diagonal LED display available in either WSVGA or HD(6) resolutions. When
equipped with the optional Broadcom HD video decoder card,(7) the HP Mini 5102
can play back high-resolution 720- and 1,080-pixel HD video content.(12)
Customers can choose either a four-cell battery for lighter weight or six-cell battery
for longer battery life. When configured with the optional six-cell battery, the HP
Mini 5102 delivers up to 10 hours of battery runtime.(4)
Corel Home Office comes preloaded on the HP Mini 5102. This office suite allows
business users and students to quickly prepare, edit and present professional letters,
reports, charts, quotations, memos, mailings and newsletters. Users also will benefit
from Microsoft Office document compatibility.
HP has also teamed up with Universal Music Group (UMG), the world’s leading
music company, to make it easier for HP customers in 18 countries across Asia(14) to
discover, acquire and enjoy their favorite tunes on their Intel®-powered HP Mini
notebook PC.
Up to 1,120 songs from UMG’s top international acts will be available on the
dedicated portal, www.music4myhp.com, as a part of this first music-service
collaboration between Universal Music and HP for the Asia region.

— The HP Mini 210 is expected to be available in Asia Pacific from 7 Jan. Prices
will start from US$299 for the HP Mini 210.
— The HP Mini 5102 is expected to be available in Asia Pacific from 7 Jan. with
a starting price of US$399.
— The HP USB Media Dock combines the capabilities of a docking station, port
replicator and adjustable notebook stand. It reduces desktop clutter while
providing versatile docking and high-quality audio and video features. Priced
at US$179, the Media Dock offers USB connectivity, making it compatible with
any notebook.
