Earlier this month, HTC Legend goes on sale in Singapore. There were already speculations that the higher specification phone HTC Desire should reach Singapore as early as May.

An invitation has been sent out to media of an impending press event to be held on the 14th May 2010. It is speculated that the event should be the launch event of HTC Desire. No price information is available right now but we expect the telecom operators will be gearing up for another war for the Android fans.

So will you go for the HTC Desire or wait for the HTC Incredible ? Post your views here.

  1. Picked up a new Desire about a month ago as a business phone however am very dissatisfied , firstly i would have about 900 contacts on my prior XDA and was able to view by company or individual, not so on Desire only by individual which is of no use especially with no search option either. Android 2.2 is intended to have search facility however not different view option launch date seems to differ each time . Battery pretty good approx 18 hrs medium usage. Wireless bluetooth poor, paired with parrott car kit ok for day or so however won’t connect even by unpairing and pairing new, same issue with bluetooth headset……..any ideas

  2. Went to the launch event. A bloody waste of my time. Al it did was introduced us to the phone and showed video which we had being seeing on the net for the last 2-3 months. After the ‘announcement’ you get to play with the device, which I couldn’t be bothered as I was still quite upset that I can’t a unit on the spot. BTW, the LAUNCH will be across all 3 telco (not the rumoured Starhub only) at the end of May. I guess it will be May 28, a long weekend in Singapore.

  3. Will buy android phone only when they start selling paid apps in Singapore.

  4. at first i really wanted to get my hands on a Legend or Desire. but lately knowing about the poor touch sensor built in the Phone (multi touch flaw on Desire), i think ill drop it for now and just wait for a better phone from HTC.

  5. I will definitely wait for asia compatible version of ‘incredible’ unless they are using the newer touchscreen sensor for the desire

  6. Exactly, the Incredibale is CDMA. Same goes with the EVO 4G, for US markets.

  7. Ya, the Incredible is CDMA. Don;t think it will ever make it here.
