Last week, we posted this article
https://en.ocworkbench.com/google-can-easily-block-out-illegal-installations-of-google-services-on-huawei-mate-30/

after many media outlets released installation of a ‘patch’ from a site lzplay.net which installs the google framework onto the Huawei Mate 30 Pro.

Today, the website went offline and installation of it no longer works (it should be the early reviewers who had the sets who tried it).

Some curious users scanned the APK and found it to be infected with spyware.

We asked Huawei if there are any relationship between them and lzplay.net ? Their answer is as follows :

Huawei’s latest Mate 30 series is not pre-installed with GMS, and Huawei has had no involvement with www.lzplay.net”

I would suggest potential buyers of Mate 30 Pro to use the device as it is and not use unknown third party work around. It will introduce more issues to the system and it is illegal too.

Below is the DNS entry of lzplay.net
