The iPhone X goes on sale in at least 55 countries worldwide. Today, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and Japan are the few Asian countries that will open it’s stores for customers to walk in to purchase the iPhone X. Each customer is only entitled to purchase two.
A large crowd has formed this morning with some queuing since the previous night. It has been years since we see such a large crowd of apple fans. Among the first buyers were tourists from Thailand and Vietnam. It is reported that a group of them bought 10 sets altogether and paid S$36,000 in cash. The iPhone X will be available in silver and space grey in 64GB and 256GB models starting at S$1,648
It is not surprising as some of the tourists from the Asean region travel to Singapore for a short tour and purchase the iPhones and resell them back home for a profit as it is not available in their home country.
