According to reports, Nokia will launch a series of low cost smartphones based on Google Android Operating System. This is supposedly a good addition to Nokia as it already has partnership with Microsoft for Windows on it’s high end smartphone.

The handset division of Nokia will be showcasing this new phones at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month. When queried by the media, Nokia and Microsoft declined to comment about the news.

It is a good strategy for Microsoft-Nokia to embrace both operating systems for the various market segments. Just wondering what will happen to Symbian ? Will it be history ?

Discuss.
