The OPPO Reno2 and Reno2 Z are the latest iterations of the popular OPPO Reno Series, best known for introducing the brand’s first 10x Hybrid Zoom and 60x Digital Zoom cameras. The latest smartphones in the series aim to continue OPPO’s mission to push creative boundaries and empower users to discover new ways of expressing themselves through the smartphone’s innovative camera technology.

Singaporeans can look forward to a quad-camera setup that applies the same 5x Hybrid Zoom from the OPPO Reno Series’ photography features to video shooting, enabling users to not only get closer to their video subjects, but to also uncover different perspectives that may otherwise seem ordinary from further away. Meanwhile, the OPPO Reno2’s Ultra Steady Video brings users closer to an exceptionally clear and smooth video shooting experience and reduces the need for additional stabilisation equipment.

As part of OPPO’s mission to push the boundaries of innovation, the OPPO Reno2 sees the brand’s Ultra Night Mode evolved into Ultra Dark Mode, creating imagery in darkness.

Both Reno 2 and Reno 2 Z have some subtle differences in the camera setup. The Reno 2 uses a Qualcomm 730G processor while the Reno 2 Z uses a Mediatek P90.

Introducing the OPPO Enco Q1 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones

True to their commitment to providing users with the most comprehensive and state-of-the-art experiences through devices such as the OPPO Reno Series, OPPO also announced today the launch of their new OPPO Enco Q1 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones, the first in OPPO’s new line of noise-cancelling headphones.

The OPPO Enco Q1 Wireless Headphones are born from OPPO’s focus on IoT and its new ecosystem of high-quality products that addresses the evolving needs of today’s consumers. Together with the OPPO Reno2, Singaporeans can look forward to a smart audio experience that will help them immerse themselves in OPPO’s creative world.

“At OPPO, we have always been committed to creating the most innovative solutions for our customers and our latest range of IoT products and services are a sign of that commitment,” said Dr Wei Kuang, Product Manager, IoT, OPPO. “The OPPO Enco Q1 Headphones are a part of our larger ecosystem of wearable devices, smart home solutions and smart transportation services that work within our open IoT platform.”

Leveraging hybrid active noise cancellation, the OPPO Enco Q1 Wireless Headphone’s feed-forward and feedback microphones work together with a noise cancelling algorithm to block out surrounding noise. Together with the OPPO Reno2, the OPPO Enco Q1 Headphones provide users a holistic set of tools that encourage creative expression.

Featuring an ergonomic design, with earbuds and neckband that work to ensure the most comfortable wear for users, the headphones uses a USB-C charging port, and can continuously play audio for 15 hours with noise canceling on, or 22 hours with noise canceling off.

Improvements of the Reno2 series over the Reno series

Dual Wi-Fi boosts internet download speeds

Connecting to Wi-Fi from your smartphone is often accompanied by issues such as slow download speeds, interrupted browsing and unreliable connectivity. Singaporeans will no longer have to bear these annoyances with the new OPPO Reno2.

The OPPO Reno2’s Dual Wi-Fi feature connects to two different Wi-Fi hotspots, which may share the same SSID or have two different SSIDs, without any interference. The two hotspots can be set up on one router, such as a home dual-band router, or on two different routers.

This means doubled network speeds, seamless switching as both channels work simultaneously to select the signal with better connectivity, and ultimately, higher reliability, enhancing the overall user experience.

World’s first pop-up camera with front and back Bokeh Effect

Taking pro-grade portraits and videos has never been easier with OPPO’s new Bokeh Effect, available on the OPPO Reno2’s front- and rear-facing cameras. In fact, the OPPO Reno2 is the first smartphone to feature a pop-up camera with bokeh capabilities on both sides for video.

The OPPO Reno2’s Bokeh Effect utilises OPPO’s unique AI technology, powered by specialised Neural Processing Units (NPU), to create a soft bokeh effect that places the subject front and centre.

Get up close with OPPO’s Ultra Macro Mode

Singaporeans can now discover unique perspectives from up close with OPPO’s new Ultra Macro Mode feature, available on the OPPO Reno2.

Ultra Macro Mode captures detailed shots from as close as 2.5 cm utilising OPPO’s 116° Ultra-Wide-Angle lens, capturing even the tiniest details at close range. This brings users closer to their subjects than ever before.
