With BIO-unlocking feature of the board, we successfully unlock the hidden cores on the AMD Phenom II X4 960T 3GHz processor, turning the quad core into a hex core processor. In the following benchmarks, we will take a look at the speed improvements of the 6 core vs 4 core. (The same CPU Vcore is applied).
First we take a look at Drystone. The improvement is quite apparent, the performance jumped from 44.74 GFlops to 58.57 GFlops giving it a 31% boost. In Whetstone, the difference is from 34.4 to 52.36, a 52% improvement in performance is registered.
What about in multimedia, Double x4 has a 49% increase, Float x8 has a 50.4% increase and Int x16 a 49.7% jump in performance.
