Intro

Last year, Oppo released Reno 6 Pro 5G. It was a remarkable phone that is based on the Mediatek processor. Today, we take a look at the newly launched Reno 7 Po 5G.

The Reno 7 Pro 5G is based on a customised processor – Mediatek Dimensity 1200 MAX, which should perform simiarly as the Reno 6 Pro (based on Dimensity 1200). OPPO Reno7 Pro 5G features additional customizations to the SoC based on MediaTek’s Dimensity 5G Open Resource Architecture and designed to further enhance the overall user experience:

Reno7 Pro 5G is powered MediaTek’s latest flagship integrated 5G SoC, the Dimensity 1200-MAX, providing the most advanced 5G experience to date. Built on 6nm process technology, and with an Arm Cortex-A78 operating at up to 3GHz, the octa-core Dimensity 1200-MAX provides even stronger computing power with lower power consumption. With this powerful 5G hardware,

For 5G, the Reno7 Pro 5G supports 5G NSA and SA mode. Theoritically it is able to achieve up to 5100 Mbps peak downlink speeds and 700 Mbps uplink speeds. [see page 4 for 5G speedtest]

The Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G comes with a large 12GB RAM + 256GB ROM configuration together with OPPO’s RAM Expansion technology. With RAM Expansion, Reno7 Pro 5G’s original 12GB of RAM can be supplemented with a massive 7GB of temporarily allocated ROM. Even with multiple apps running at the same time, Reno7 Pro 5G still delivers the same smooth experience.

With 65W SUPERVOOCTM, you can charge the phone’s 4500mAh battery to 100% in as little as 31 minutes*; and just a 5-minute charge is enough to give you 4 hours of movie playbacks.

The Oppo Reno 7 Pro is also slimmer at 7.45mm (7.6mm on Reno6 Pro) but weighs heavier at 180g (177g on Reno 6 Pro).
