Conclusion
It is almost 2 weeks with the Xperia Z and I fell in love with it. The smartphone boots up first and it is speedy, thanks to the powerful processor built in. High performance means higher battery usage. the Xperia Z will be flat within a day of usage. I managed to squeeze in 1.5 days of usage when I enable the STAMINA MODE in the Power Management option. It definitely helps.
Something I don’t quite understand on the Xperia Z is that there is no camera button. So, if you intend to take a quick shot, you have to go to the icon and enable the camera mode. We last heard there is a third party software which can turn your volume up/down key for instant camera but we have yet to test that out.
The speaker is a mono speaker just like the earlier Xperia. Stereo or mono doesn’t matter but the volume level at maximum is probably only 80% of the Acro S. If you put it into your pocket, you might just miss some important messages if the surrounding is too noisy.
In conclusion, the Xperia Z is truly a multimedia phone. In fact, I use it more often than my iPad as it is more compact and provides crisp display with zoom in feature. The Xperia Z is also replacing my aging camera as it can take 1080p HD videos and good quality pictures with macro mode in dim light. I would recommend this phone to anyone who needs an all in one.
We give it a 9 out of 10 and Gold award for it’s quality and performance.
