Sony Xperia Z tablet launched

Sony Mobile announced the availability of the Sony Xperia Tablet Z at a press event held at Wisma Atria, Singapore held yesterday. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is part of the Xperia family of mobile products from Sony. Similar to the Sony Xperia Z smartphone, it is IP57 certified – dust proof and water resistant. It is also NFC capable.
The tablet incorporates much of the features of the famous Xperia Z smartphone. It has a LED-backlit LCD, capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors Size 1200 x 1920 pixels in a 10.1 inches (~224 ppi pixel density) screen. The HD Reality Display is also powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2. It also has S-Force Front Surround 3D and Clear Audio+ for an excellent multimedia experience.
The Xperia Tablet Z has superior camera capability with “Exmor R for mobile”, One-touch function, battery STAMINA mode, and Sony’s media applications for photo, music, and movies on the go.
Having a dimension Dimensions 266 x 172 x 6.9 mm (10.47 x 6.77 x 0.27 in), the tablet only weights 495g (1.09lb) and is way lighter than the iPad.
There are two variants of the Sony Xperia Tablet Z. There is one with LTE enabled with WIFI while the other is WIFI only model. Both will be available from 6 June 2013 in Singapore. Pricing will be announced later.
