Conclusion

The Xperia Z Ultra is definitely a speedy device thanks to the Snapdragon 800 2.2GHz processor within. I personally like the snappiness of the smartphone. Although it is a smartphone, I would rather prefer to call it a phablet as it is too big to fit into the pockets. Pair it up with a Bluetooth earpiece would be a better option.

Nevertheless, it’s water resistant feature is a definite plus, now with a larger screen. You can now even watch your favourite tv shows streamed via various applications available on the Google Play at the pool side.

You probably also do not need to purchase a stylus just for the touch screen. A pencil is what you would need. Imagine writing on it the usual way you would do to a paper writing pad.

While I like most of the features on the Xperia Z Ultra, the downside would be the camera. The pictures taken is not as sharp as the Xperia Z but is reasonable for a 8 megapixel camera.

Currently there are a few other brands which features the same processor and a slightly smaller screen but they are non water resistant and are thicker. For me, I think the Sony Xperia Z Ultra fit all my requirements.
