Samsung Electronics Singapore launched the 990 EVO Plus SSD, featuring PCle 4.0 support and advanced NAND Technology for enhanced performance, capacity and power efficiency.
The 990 EVO Plus SSD features:
- Performance: Sequential read speeds of up to 7,250 MB/s and write speeds of up to 6,300 MB/s, marking a 50% improvement over the previous model.
- Storage Options: Available in 1TB, 2TB, and a new 4TB model, designed for high-capacity needs.
- Power Efficiency: An innovative heat shield that enhances power efficiency by 73%.
- Random Speed: The 4TB model boasts industry-leading random read and write speeds, suitable for gaming and AI tasks.
- Software Support: Comes with Samsung Magician software for data migration, health monitoring, and performance optimization.
The 990 EVO Plus will be available in Singapore from the end of October via the Samsung Online Store, the Samsung Official Store on Lazada and Shopee as well as at selected consumer electronics stores. The recommended retail price for the 1TB 990 Evo Plus is S$159, while the 2TB model retails for S$268 and the 4TB model retails at S$479.
