If you receive an SMS from 1218, it is from SIMBA Telecom. The message may ask you to check whether your SIM card needs an upgrade. To do so, simply reply by sending an SMS to 1218 or text “5” to 1218.
If your SIM card is already 5G Ultra ready, no action is required. Otherwise, you will need to visit the nearest SIM collection point (simba.sg/collect) to swap for a new SIM card.
“5G Ultra” likely refers to the 5G Standalone (SA) network.
