Singtel launches sub-brand GOMO which offers $20 for 20GB, 200 call minutes, 200 SMS and free caller ID

Competition is really intense in the 4G world. Singtel has just launched it’s own Sub brand GOMO. It offers one of the best deals for post paid. $20 for 20GB, 200SMS and free caller ID and incoming calls.

The nearest competitor is Circles.Life which is priced at S$28 (+2 for free incoming calls) with $10 rebate. It offers 20 GB for S$18/mth (factoring the rebate) but it only bundle 100 minutes and 25 SMS.

If data is not enough, just add a Data Pump that comes with 10GB data, 100 mins talktime and 100 SMS on the GOMO app. $10 will be automatically charged to your credit/debit card on file. Data pump will last you 30 days.

Post paid numbers can be ported in to GOMO. This can be done within 3 days for non Singtel transfer in. Existing Singtel numbers will get ported within 1 hour.

Keeping a Singtel number? Simply pop your SIM in! It’ll automatically be activated within the hour.

Similar to Circles.Life and Zero1, GOMO will probably have limited roaming capability. So, if you are a frequent traveler, this GOMO may not be suitable for you if you require Voice and Data Roaming. GOMO does have a TRAVEL SIM which is meant for data roaming.

So, will you be switching camps again ?

In addition, Singtel also launched GOMO Travel SIM

GOMO Travel SIM is a prepaid, data-only SIM card for travellers heading to Malaysia, Australia, Thailand, The Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. FYI, This is a data-only SIM so no talktime/SMS are included. We suggest using your favourite chat or social apps!

It costs S$20 for 3GB and last for 10 days.

Another piece of good news is that you can now enjoy a FREE GOMO Travel SIM (worth $20) with every GOMO Mobile sign-up before 30 April!

Conclusion

The plan is really cheap and i bet there will be many users considering porting over. One thing to note though, M1 and Starhub has almost equivalent priced plans and they offer Data, Voice roaming and most importantly, unlimited weekend data.

Unless you do not exceed 20 GB a mth and seldom travel, this plan is more than sufficient for most.
