LG launched the 2nd generation Flex series smartphone G Flex2 2 days ago at KU DÉ TA Restaurant Level 57, Sky Park @ Marina Bay Sands. The new G Flex2 inherits the best of the original G Flex and improved it’s design with a 700mm radius curved 5.5″ 1080p HD screen. The compact body make it easier to grip compared to the LG G Flex.

Within the G Flex2 also feature the Snapdragon 810 8 Core 64 bits processor optimised for Android 5.0, making it the fastest smartphone from LG. LG also improved on it’s self healing back cover and the screen is well protected by DuraGuard glass which is 20% more durable than before.

Other than the hardware, we had the chance to do a hands on on the unit. On the LG G Flex2, the software is greatly enhanced with Gesture Shot which you can use it to take a selfie with a hand gesture. Gesture View makes it easy to check the last shot and save or delete it immediately. I particularly like the Glance View. With the slide of your finger without unlocking the phone, you can view key information such as time, recent message, missed calls easily.

On top of that, LG G Flex2 supports Fast Charge and the charger allows quick charge of the 3000mAh battery to be charged up 50% in under 40 minutes.

The LG G Flex2 is also probably the first smartphone to support Cat 9 LTE supporting up to speeds of 450Mbps. So far, the local telcos only support up to 300Mbps. With the LG G Flex2, you are well ahead of the rest.

The LG G Flex2 will be available for pre-order in Singapore from 27 February 2015 at SGD998 in M1, Singtel and Starhub. The device comes in two colors: Platinum Silver and Flamenco Red, and will be on sale in Singapore on 14 March 2015.
