The user experience on the Samsung Galaxy S reminds me of the iPhone 3GS I am using. The Android 2.1 on the Samsung Galaxy S has an advantage over the aging iPhone 3GS. You can customise widgets on the various pages which is not achievable on the iPhone. Specifications wise, it is way ahead of iPhone 3GS.
The closest competitor to it would be the upcoming Motorola Droid X which is about to be released in the USA. It has a better camera (8 mega pixel) and a larger screen(4.4″) and also powered by Android 2.1.
If you require a large touch screen device for productivity or leisure, this phone should be in your consideration list. The phone will go on sale globally in a month’s time.
