In the next couple of weeks, mobile phone users will be spoilt for choice. There are at least 3 new Android phones that will make it’s first appearance in Singapore. Motorola Milestone is coming next Tuesday according to online media and the two other Korean ones should make it in Singapore by Chinese New Year.

The first would be the slider keyboard phone Motorola Milestone. It has a large capacitive screen and has keyboard shortcuts feature. This phone spots the latest Android 2.0 and it is said to be exclusive to Singtel. So, other telco users, if you are seriously considering, you would have to sign another contract. just to get the new phone. This phone is already on sale in Hong Kong last December. Processor runs at 550MHz and has a 5 megapixel camera.

The LG GW620 is another slider QWERTY phone from LG. It is powered by Android 1.5 (cupcake) and has a resistive screen. It has a 5 megapixel camera and uns at 528MHz as well.

The third is the Samsung Spica (i5700), the slim down version of the Galaxy which we preview before on OCWorkbench. It runs on Android 1.5 (Cupcake) too but it has a more powerful processor running at 800MHz. It has a 3 megapixel camera. The rest of the specifications are very similar to the Galaxy (i7500).

  1. I bot a Samsung Galaxy i5700 from M1 last month. Decent phone for the price I paid, $48 plus 2 yr contract. Anyone know how to upgrade the OS to Android 2.0 ? Checked Samsung website, but nothing there.

  2. At last..milestone is coming…me and my gf really want to grab it…
