Android users were first to experience the voice call function last month. 2 days ago, WhatsApp has released this feature to the iPhones.
On Apple’s iTunes store, WhatsApp said the update was released on Tuesday (Apr 21) and it includes the call function, allowing iOS users to make calls both locally and internationally for free. Data charges may apply if the call is made on mobile data and not Wi-Fi, it added.
However, not everyone may be able to use the call function just yet, even if they have downloaded the latest version of the app. “WhatsApp Calling is rolling out slowly over the next several weeks,” it said.
Have you tried it yet? What is your experience with the WhatsApp voice call feature on iOS?
