If you’re using a Wi-Fi 7 router, you may notice an option to enable MLO (Multi-Link Operation), which allows you to combine the 2.4 GHz band with the 5 GHz or 6 GHz bands in various configurations.

During our test with the TPlink BE6500 router, we activated MLO and were pleased to see the Xiaomi 14T Pro display a Wi-Fi logo with a ‘7+’ symbol, confirming that MLO was functioning.

The following screenshot shows a speed test conducted over SIMBA’s 2.5 Gbps fiber broadband, with the server tested against CTCSCI. The result was an impressive 2.125 Gbps at close range. Even at the farthest corner of the room, we still achieved speeds of 800 Mbps, compared to 300-400 Mbps without MLO. This suggests that MLO significantly improves coverage.
