Verizon Wireless finally carries the Apple iPhone in US, breaking the AT&T exclusive since its launch back in 2007.
The attempt by Apple seems to counter the expanding invasion of Android powered phones on different telcos. With Verizon Wireless selling the iPhone, it will surely be able to capture another broad segment of the market in the US.
The CDMA iPhone 4 designed to run on Verizon’s network, will sell with a two-year agreement for $199.99 for the 16-gigabyte model or $299.99 for the 32-gigabyte model. It will go on sale in Feb 2011.
The prices are similar to what AT&T charges for those models.
