Benchmark SiSoft Sandra 2010
In our benchmark tests, we used the Intel core i7 965 processor with 6GB of Kingston HyperX DDR3-2000 running in tri-channel memory mode. The ram is run at DDR3-1866 C7-8-7-27-1T using XMP Profile #1. We compare the performance of the board versus the ASUS RAMPAGE III Gene
The first test we run is the SiSoft Sandra 2010 Memory Benchmark. In this test, we check out the memory benchmark, processor arithmetic and processor multimedia tests.
From the chart, we can see that both did not differ too much with memory bandwidth. The ASRock X58 Extreme3 seems to have a better memory throughput compared to the ASUS Rampage III Gene.
As for the processor arithmetic tests, the results is a bit different. It is kind of surprise as we see that the the results differ as much as 10 GFlops in Whetstone. As for Drystone, the result differs by around 5 GIPS with ASRock X58 Extreme3 leading.
As for Multimedia test, the results is very apparent, the ASRock X58 Extreme3 wins the ASUS Rampage III Gene in all 3 tests.
