SiSoft Sandra 2011 Benchmarks

In SiSoft Sandra 2011, we test out the memory benchmark, Arithmetic, multimedia and transcoding test using the embedded graphics processor of the processor.

A Core i5-2500K processor is paired up with 2x2GB DDR3-2000 running at XMP profile #1 – C7,8,7,20-1T at DDR3-1866 is tested on both boards. The ASRock H67M-GE/HT has a limitation of DDR3-1333 due to it’s design and it runs the same processor but the memory clocks at DDR3-1333. The BCLK on the ASUS P8Z68-V Pro is 100.0MHz  while the ASRock is at 100.5MHz.

From the chart below, it can be clearly seen that the memory performance of both Z68 boards surpasses that of the H67 chipset. The ASUS P8Z68-V Pro seems to be slightly slower, probably due to the slightly lower BCLK.

In Multimedia test, the ASUS P8Z68-V pro scores 103.53 which is 7.8% faster than the two ASRock boards we put into comparison.

In SiSoft Sandra 2011 Processor Arithmetic, we do notice something a bit unusual. Both the ASRock Z68 Extreme4 and ASrock H67M-GE/HT gives very similar results. The ASUS P8Z68-V Pro seems to be around 8% faster. Did ASUS overclock the processor behind the scenes?

In Media Transcoding, the ASUS P8Z68-V Pro also stunned us with a fast speed of 6MB/s. That is way faster than the ASRock Z68 Extreme4 by 200MB/s

On the next page, we take a look at Cinebench 11.5 results.
