This is the upcoming Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3. This new board has a new feature mSATA. If you look at the centre of the mainboard, you will see a PCIe slot socket where you can insert a PCIe based SSD.

With the SSD, the Intel Smart Response System can be enabled just like any Z68 board. Instead of using a SATA port and hook it up with a SSD as the “cache”, it now uses the PCIe based SSD.

Unfortunately such SSDs are not readily available off the shelves in this part of the world. I feel that such design is more suitable for notebooks.

From the looks of the board, this board supports both SLI and CrossFireX. It also has 1394, Realtek 8 ch audio, Dual BIOS, Dolby Home Theatre, Etrontech powered USB 3.0, DES, On/Off Charge and features a 2x copper PCB.
