Easy connectivity with the new Nokia C6, exclusive to M1

SINGAPORE, 8 July 2010 – The new Nokia C6 which has the latest in social networking and e-mailing features, integrating both work and play on a mobile platform, will be available for sale exclusively to M1 customers from today.

The Nokia C6 will provide users with the most convenient means to stay connected with family and friends through its customisable home screen that displays e-mail, favourite contacts and Facebook status updates. Pictures and videos can also be shared directly from the phone. These features provide entertainment and inject fun to the overall mobile experience. A large touch display and a full QWERTY side-sliding keyboard further enhance the usability of this smartphone.

Bundled with the Nokia Lifetime Messaging License, customers can enjoy access to Nokia’s push e-mail and instant messaging (IM) services. Nokia Messaging, in particular, offers mobility to road warriors who need to stay connected via e-mail on the go.

The Nokia C6 has been provisioned to provide easy access to Ovi, Nokia’s suite of Internet services. For instance, Ovi Maps is a feature that customers can look forward to, as free navigation and easy location sharing via Facebook will be enabled on the Nokia C6. The Ovi Store and Ovi Music can also be accessed with a few taps on the screen.

Equipped with a S60 fifth edition mobile computer, the Nokia C6 has a large 3.2”, bright nHD TFT colour display and features a combination of QWERTY keyboard and touch display. The device can connect to the mobile broadband via WLAN or High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA or 3.5G). Directions and location can be provided (including maps) with the integrated A-GPS. There is a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash as well as a secondary camera for video calling.
The Nokia C6 will be available at all M1 Shop outlets and authorized dealers at a recommended retail price of S$499 or S$98 with a 2-year plan.
