HONOR has released an exclusive first look at photos taken with its upcoming flagship, the HONOR Magic8 Pro — a device built to excel in night photography. The preview showcases the phone’s powerful 200MP Ultra Night Telephoto Camera (1/1.4″, 100X zoom), delivering impressive detail, colour accuracy and clarity even in challenging low-light environments. The large 1/1.4-inch sensor and wide f/2.6 aperture significantly improve light intake, allowing for clearer details even at long distances.

Powerful 200MP Telephoto with CIPA 5.5-Level Stability
The Magic8 Pro features the industry’s largest 200MP telephoto sensor paired with a bright f/2.6 aperture. This setup captures fine details across long distances while maintaining excellent light sensitivity. Combined with CIPA 5.5-level Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), the telephoto stays steady even when zooming at 10x or up to 100x, effectively reducing handshakes and motion blur for sharp, stable shots in any environment.

Lifelike, Enhanced Night Portraits
The Magic8 Pro also excels in night portraiture, thanks to its 50MP Ultra Night Main Camera (1/1.3″, f/1.6) with OIS. With advanced AI segmentation and intelligent lighting, it reproduces natural skin tones, refined highlights, and beautifully soft bokeh. Even portraits taken from a distance in dim conditions appear vivid, sharp, and true to life.

Versatile Camera System for Every Scenario
Completing the rear setup is a 50MP Ultra Wide Camera (f/2.0, 122° wide angle), perfect for sweeping landscapes and tight indoor spaces. On the front, the 50MP camera (f/2.0, 90° ultra-wide angle) offers sharp, well-lit selfies with ample room for group shots.

Hands-On Experience at the Oceanarium and Sentosa
We had a chance to do a hands-on using the phone at the Oceanarium to experience its low-light performance, and the results showcased how well the Magic8 Pro handles challenging lighting environments. We also tested the 4K video stabilisation and the 100x digital zoom at Sentosa, both of which delivered surprisingly steady, detailed results for a device of its class.

Check out next page on how it performs in 4K/60 video recording in challenging and dim lighting conditions.
