SiSoft Sandra 2012 Benchmark

SiSoft Sandra 2012 Benchmarks

In SiSoft Sandra 2012, we ran the tests on memory, arithmetic, multimedia and media transcoding. We test the results against two other boards, the ASUS and BIOSTAR boards based on Z77. Do take note that all4  boards are running slightly different ram timings as detected by XMP profiles #1 or #2. For both Gigabyte Z77X-UP5 TH and ASRock Fatal1ty Z77 Professional-M, we are unable to run it at DDR3-2400 with the XMP profiles specified. In fact, we tried lowering the timings etc but it just couldn’t get stable at DDR-2400.

We also included the results when we overclocked the internal graphics core to 1.5GHz and processor to 4.4GHz abbreviated by (OC).

In memory benchmark, the memory performance of the board doesn’t seem to be well tuned. Although both reads the XMP profiles and same timings are used, the results aren’t the same. The Gigabyte Z77X-UP5 TH is slightly lower at 24.57 whiel the rest are within a point of difference.

In Arithmetic performance test, the result of 82 GOPS is pretty on par with the ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77. With the processor and internal graphics core overclocked, the performance shot up to 95.38.

In Multimedia, the board gave a result of 205 Mpixel/s which is higher than the rest of the boards. When it was overclocked, it went up to 237.3 Mpixel/s, just 0.2 points difference from the ASRock Z77 Fatal1ty.

In media transcoding, the board seems to be slower at 6350. When it is overclocked, it is able to do 6795. Looks like being capable of running at DDR3-2400 does help in this test as it is able to push the score up to 7100.
