According to various reports from CNET UK and BGR, Google is planning to launch the new Nexus 5 SMartphone and the Android 4.4 KitKat Operating system next week.
CNET UK claims to have overheard “whispers around the campfire at Google Launchpad,” a two-week bootcamp for developers, suggesting that Google’s next-generation flagship smartphone and OS update will both launch next week on October 15th. If accurate, the releases will likely not be accompanied by a press conference since Google typically sends out invitations to the press more than a week before such events.
Another leaked service manual for Nexus 5 reveals the specifications of the 5″ 1080P phone. It is powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB RAM, 8 Megapixel rear camera with OIS. It has a 1.3 meservice manual for the Nexus 5, the smartphone’s specs include a 5-inch full HD 1080p display, a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, support for inductive charging, NFC and Android 4.4 KitKat. The price is rumoured to be USD 299.
We shall wait and see if it turns out to be true. If yes, you should be able to preorder them from our stores next week. Stay tuned.
