Just in case you are ready to shop for a INTEL H67 board in the coming week. Here is a tip that would really save you all the effort in trying to troubleshoot your system.
As Intel H67 is for integrated graphics, the system’s power requirement is lower. We were happily testing the Intel P67 with our 800W PSU with no issues but ended up with weird hang up and boot issues with the H67 board. A check with the manufacturer tells us to switch to a lower powered PSU.
I fixed it up with the old PSU there has been lying there for 5 yrs and everything works perfectly! Well it is strange but they acknowledge that this is a known problem as no one will match an expensive 1000W PSU with a integrated graphics low end board.
