LG unveils LG Signature OLED TV, OLED 4K TV and SUPER UHD TV with Dolby Vision (HDR) support

On 6 Apr 2016, LG Singapore unveiled it’s 2016 OLED TVs series. Added to it’s series of award winning TVs, LG introduces the LG SIGNATURE OLED TV, OLED 4K TV as well SUPER UHD TV. To enhance the viewing experience, the new TVs comes with playback support of Dolby Vision High Dynamic Range (HDR) media.

As thin as a stack 4 of credit cards

The LG Signature OLED TV probably stole the limelight of the event with it’s 2.57mm thin OLED panel. Get real and see it, it is almost as thin as 4 pieces of credit cards stacked together. It is one of the first TV to bear LG’s unique Picture on Glass design concept.

Available in both 65″ and 77″, the LG Signature is the top range model with 4K OLED display, OLED high dynamic range, Ultra HD HDR10 and Dolby Vision support.

Ultra HD HDR10 is a standard that recognises a TVs capabilities for resolution, HDR, peak luminance, black levels, wide colour gamut and audio quality.

Dolby Vision is another standard that has the capability of high dynamic range and wide colour gamut to deliver astonishing images compared with standard pictures.

The TV is capable to playback content encoded with Dolby Vision. So far, major studios like Warner Bros, Sony Pictures, Universal Pictures and Metro Goldwyn Mayer are committed to supporting this new standard.

The LG OLED 4K TVs E6 and C6 also supports the above features.
